The Svalbard reindeer is a subspecies of the native reindeer. Characteristic for the svalbard reindeer is the short legs, compact boddy and head. On the picture we can see a male in all it’s glory, during the mating period. Taken just outside Longyearbyen, 10th of October, 2019
